The smart way to cast strong, porosity-free cylindrical parts. Magnus Sourcing has access to India's specialist foundries, spinning molten iron, steel and bronze into pipes, liners, bushings and rings with superior density and mechanical strength - delivered reliably to your facility, wherever you operate.
A cylindrical metal die is mounted on the casting machine, coated with a refractory wash and preheated - ready to form a clean, dense outer surface.
The die is spun at high speed about its axis, generating the centrifugal force that will shape and densify the casting.
Molten metal is poured into the spinning mould, where rotation distributes it evenly along the cylindrical wall.
Centrifugal force throws the heavier metal against the mould wall, driving out gas and slag - lighter impurities collect at the inner bore.
The metal solidifies from the outer wall inward, producing a fine, dense grain structure with excellent mechanical properties.
The casting is removed, the inner bore is machined to remove impurities, cut to length, then inspected before dispatch.
Centrifugal force forces out porosity, gas and slag - impurities migrate to the bore and are machined away, leaving exceptionally strong, sound castings.
Pipes, tubes, rings, liners and bushings are cast without cores - accurate, repeatable and with high material yield.
No gating or risers means minimal waste, and two metals can be combined for parts with a hard wear surface and a tough core.
